the Center Pompidou offers a very large exhibition about the British painter Francis Bacon.
Literature is at the heart of the exhibition: great voices read texts in French and English from Aeschylus, Nietzsche, Bataille, Leiris, Conrad and Eliot. These authors all inspired Bacon with his works and his poetic universe. They form like a spiritual family in which the painter is recognized. They share the same realistic, amoralist vision of the world, a conception of art and its forms liberated from the a priori of idealism.
