The French painter Edgar Degas, naturalist and impressionist, had as favorite subject the Paris Opera: his stage, his lodge and his dance hall, his dancers, his orchestra and his spectators appear regularly in the works of the artist, his debut in the 1860s until his death in 1917. The Musée d'Orsay devotes for the first time an exhibition dedicated to this theme: "Degas at the Opera".
